As a commercial trial court litigator and appellate lawyer for more than twenty five years, André Castaybert is experienced in all phases of commercial litigation in state and federal courts as well as international and domestic arbitration forums. He provides cost-effective business litigation solutions to mid-size companies and company executives in the financial, real estate, and fashion industries, among others.
André has successfully represented both executives and companies in disputes involving the enforcement of non-compete, confidentiality, and non-solicitation provisions in employment and severance agreements. He also handles a wide variety of intellectual property disputes involving licensing distribution and royalty agreements, copyright, trademark and trade secret protection and enforcement, and unfair competition claims.
Fluent in French, André has represented many French clients as well as clients in half a dozen other countries. He has also obtained discovery and represented foreign witnesses in Paris, Brussels, Geneva, and Montreal. André is an active member of the French-American Bar Association and Chamber of Commerce.
